PLANK are a young band, who are descended from the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai, and Tortoise.
This is the second album from the instrumental rock band comprised of Dave Rowe, Ed Troup, and Liam Stewart, in Manchester, the 'rock' city of the UK, which has produced many great artists such as Oasis, The Stone Roses, Joy Division, The Smiths, The Chemical Brothers, etc. Who all were symbols of the times.
PLANK's music mingles danceable rock tunes, featuring the old‐fashioned sound of vintage synthesizers that symbolize the band’s sound, with a dark sound undertone that is often seen in British music.
Their nostalgic ambient sound from their warm acoustic instrumentation compliments their skilled guitar and rhythm sections. This album is a masterpiece created by mixing every imaginable contrast. You will no longer able to use the words 'post-rock' or 'progressive rock' when you explain PLANK's high level sound.
Tracks 'Grasshoppers from Mars’ and ‘Aphidelity' will command you to dance, and your blood will boil with the distorted guitar in third track 'Dark Web' featuring a distortion guitar. You will be healed with the gentle sound and melody Moth Lover', and cry with the magnificent finale of ‘Khepri'.
This is a revolution by the name of PLANK.
