about

Welcome, and enter the endless world of dream and adventure.

Fairy Tale, the fourth album from Takahiro Kido, composer/member of Anoice and RiLF, contains fine melodies brimming with subtle beauty and warmth; wonderful for spots for TV, web, or events. This is truly Takahiro Kido's best effort to date, more gentle beautiful than his previous album "Fleursy Music," which made it to 8th place on Germany's electronica chart and was elected as one of the 10 best albums of 2008 by The Silent Ballet.

Fairy Tale includes such masterpieces as "prologue," of which a remixed version has been used in a spot for NTT Comware in Japan. "Roads," a tune arranged by Yuki Murata, pianist/composer of Anoice, has been used on a spot for Google; while "2nd Season" and "Let's Go Crazy!" were composed for background music of guidance movie of NIPPON VISION, an event held at the Japanese department store Isetan. "Oranges and Lemons" was recorded in a solitary house which served as the model for the violin atelier in Studio Ghibli's "Whispers of the Heart," and was also included in the compilation album "Hope For Japan" aimed towards Japan relief work. Finally, the lovely tune "Rust Summer in Tokyo" has been added to the charity album "Hope," released by Kido's Ricco Label.

All of this, packaged in beautiful artwork from the UK-based illustrator Emmeline Pidgen.

Discover Takahiro Kido's compositional talent that reflects the famous Japanese composers Joe Hisaichi and Ryuichi Sakamoto, the refined grooves of Radiohead and Lemon Jelly, and the beautiful soundscapes of Sigur Rós and Kyte.

This Fairy Tale will leave you moved from beginning to end!
